Our Philosophy

We at Lava Root Ventures support Search Fund entrepreneurs to acquire and build successful companies. We combine a portfolio approach with active hands-on investment management to help our entrepreneurs build lasting value companies. LRV invests in small, profitable companies with $5MM to $30MM in annual revenues. We work primarily with Search Funds, partnering with entrepreneurs to find, acquire and build successful businesses. Lava Root Ventures adds value to the Search Fund model by providing advisement and capitial to Search Fund entrepreneurs. LRV offers experience which translates into industry expertise in many different spaces (Technologies and Food distribution are some of the spaces among many others). We also enhance searchers with effective search techniques, polished acquisition strategies, superior management practices and many other required business skills.
